‘what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly, and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.’ Micah 6 v 8
In a world full of injustice and pain, is it possible to truly experience goodness and mercy? The prophet Micah invites us to look more closely at the God who is full of mercy, compassion and perfect justice—and who equips us to reflect his character as walk humbly with him. Carolyn Lacey is our main speaker and will lead us through this wonderful book.
Carolyn lives in Worcester with her husband, Richard. They have served in pastoral ministry together for 24 years and have two children at university. Carolyn works part-time as a Women’s Worker at her church and teaches regularly at women’s events and conferences. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, running and reading historical fiction.
Walking Wounded by Emma Scrivener. Emma Scrivener.
Paul speaks of “forgetting what is past and straining towards what is ahead”, but how do we do that when the past can seem so present to us? Emma has written extensively about her struggles with eating disorders, anxiety and depression. Some of those struggles, like anorexia, are behind her. Some, like bouts of depression, remain. How do we all walk forwards with Jesus? Let’s learn together from the Scriptures.
Emma Scrivener is an author and speaker, married to Glen with two children, and living on the South coast. She writes and speaks about mental health and the gospel.
Walking in contentment by Andrea Trevenna.
We so naturally default to thinking that if only our circumstances were different all would be well! In this seminar we’ll be thinking about how truly knowing who we are “in Christ” enables us to walk humbly and joyfully with our God, as his dearly loved children, whatever our circumstances are.
Andrea is the Women’s Minister at St Nicholas church in Sevenoaks where she has served on the staff team for 22 years. Before she joined the staff team there she lived in Wimbledon and was a primary school teacher in Croydon. She is a regular conference speaker and also the author of “The Heart of Singleness – How to be Single and Satisfied”. She enjoys reading, walking and spending time with friends, her godchildren and her cat Betsy.

Walking humbly with the Lord in the bodies we have been given by Ros Clarke.
Sometimes it can feel as though women’s bodies have been designed to hinder our holiness, not to help it! In this seminar, we’ll see how our bodies are actually designed as reminders of the gospel and reminders of our dependence on God. We are designed to walk humbly with him in these female bodies of ours.
Ros is an experienced Bible teacher who is particularly passionate about equipping women for ministry. She has a PhD on the Song of Songs and one of these days may actually finish writing a commentary on it. Ros is Associate Director of Church Society, one of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet’s Pastoral Advisers for Women, and the author of FORTY WOMEN and HUMAN.
