Meet the team

Headed up by Jenny Rees, she is married to Steve who is the vicar at All Saints, Crowborough. Jenny is a mother of five, part-time teacher and Associate Minister for women at All Saints. She is a keen Arsenal fan (back to her North London roots!) and enjoys walking her dog Bella on the Ashdown Forest and breeding puppies (occasionally).

Jane Hook is married to Martin, they have four children. She has been a member of Forest Fold Baptist Church in Crowborough for nearly 30 years! Jane loves sharing the bible with other women, and organising events where she can share the good news that Jesus brings to those around us. Jane’s hobbies are coffee, cake (baking and eating them) and crochet! She is petrified of heights and likes to remain firmly on the ground.

Mel Street is married to Matthew, who she met on her first day at uni…twenty-nine years later they have three children and a very enthusiastic cockapoo called Fudge. Mel works part-time as a Local Government Officer in Crowborough and has been part of All Saints Church family for the past eight years. In her spare time, she loves nothing more than curling up with a good book (cliched but true!) or walking Fudge on Ashdown Forest.

Caroline Westwood is a part-time Site Manager for All Saints Church in Crowborough and is married with three children. She enjoys reading books, watching films, and a new lockdown hobby of crocheting.

Rachel Lane is a member of Emmanuel Church in Hastings, where her husband Martin is the vicar. She teaches English part-time, and enjoys being involved with music and women’s ministry at the church. Rachel has four school aged children and a rather noisy dog.

Kim Bourne grew up in Bermuda (sea and sun). She now lives in Eastbourne (sea and ?) with her husband
David, who retired as vicar of Hailsham in August 2022. Prior to getting married she worked as Women’s Worker for St Leonards Church in Exeter and then Duke Street Church in Richmond-upon-Thames. She now helps out where she can at her church, All Souls alongside spending more time with four much loved little grandsons, one of which has significant SEN. She relaxes with people, puzzles and the gym!

Emily Armitstead is a member of All Saints, Crowborough, along with her husband and three young children. Emily previously worked for Resurgo, a Christian charity coaching disadvantaged young people to get into work. She’s also been involved in women’s ministries both at All Saints and previously at St Marks, Battersea Rise. She has a particular talent for shopping and has recently taken up boxing!

Sam Tucker is married to Nick who is the Vicar of Bishop Hannington church, Hove. They have three teenaged children and a cockapoo. Sam works as a British Sign Language interpreter, which she believes is perhaps the best job in the world. She enjoys bass guitar (playing) and murder mysteries (watching and reading). Guilty pleasure – spreadsheets!
